Floral Mentoring.
From farm girl to floral stylist.
After having two beautiful children and stepping away from flowers to enjoy family life, Elise is excited to be back creating magic for her clients and is really excited with her mentoring sessions as well. “I really enjoy sharing my small business and floral experience with other florists that are ready to delve right into it. Teaching gives me so such joy and watching florists grow in their skills never gets old.”
Elise Ross is the creative powerhouse and owner behind Elyssium Blooms and when she is not working with flowers in the studio she is in her garden growing and tending them.
Elise has been surrounded by flowers and nature her whole life. Growing up on a farm in country NSW, where her family grew and harvested crops. “We grew veggies and spring bulbs throughout our family garden and my Mum loved sowing Poppy seeds every season.”
One of Elise’s fondest memories of being in the garden was with her Grandad who had the hardest working green thumb and created a garden worthy of a fairy tale.
At age 15, Elise relocated to Sydney and started cleaning buckets for a local florist who then offered her an apprenticeship.
Attending Richmond TAFE, NSW and working in a busy floral retail store, she gained experience in all aspects of floristry and certainly knows how to tie a perfect bow.
Moving on to working with some of Sydney’s best floral studios and being mentored herself, Elise’s passion for flowers continued to grow and brought her to the Gold Coast.
